Our community is located about 20 minutes outside of Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. We work hard to recruit travel groups to come and stay in our community, shop and visit the various attractions around the area. North Carolina in general is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country and our community has two of the top tourist spots within 2 miles of each other.
We are located close to the Billy Graham Evangelical Association and their newly opened Billy Graham Library, which has become one of the most visited attractions for the religious based traveler. Also, for the thrill seekers in your group, one of our most popular attractions is the Lowe's Motor Speedway NASCAR Complex. We are truly a world racing destination with a number of motorsports activities all around the region. You can even drive an official stock car (same as the NASCAR drivers on television) at speeds up to 160 miles per hour around the famous oval track. Our destination is also the location of the very first gold discovery in America. It was here, back in 1799 that a young man in North Carolina first discovered a 2 pound gold nugget and started the famous American Gold Rush in the United States.
These are just a few of the many activities and attractions that make us a unique and exciting place to visit. Thanks for the welcome to WRTA and I am looking forward to hearing more about what you do as well.
