- Why would you like to join the WRTA Social Network?
- My business is two fold, I work as a receptive operator to bring groups into the Illinois Amish Community to visit Amish homes, farms and business as well as local attractions. By doing this people get a better understanding of the Amish Culture and Religion.
I also do outbound tours to other areas, and am constantly looking for Christian and Family Friendly destinations. Being a Christian myself, it is very important to me take my groups to destinations where they can grow spiritually as they have fun!

- I am a new business just starting out, October of 2006 was our starting month, so we are not well established, YET!

Thank you for your comments. I was nervous in the beginning and so many people told me how much they were looking forward to hearing me so of course that added to my tension.
It was wonderful to be surrounded by friends after I was finished but I am sorry that we did not have the chance to say hello.

I live in the heart of the PA Amish country, Lancaster County. They are wonderful people and we enjoy several Amish families as our friends.
On the outbound travel side of your interest, let me tell you what I do and perhaps can be of assitance to you.
My company represents several international destionations that relate to our Christian faith. I work as a consultant to them and put US companies in direct contact with them-no middle man.

I invite you to join GTRTRG (Global Tourism & Religious Travel/Tourism Research Group), an open ongoing discussion forum where numerous members (18 until now, and still growing in number) share experiences and thoughts related to T/RT. It would be a great opportunity for other members to learn more about the Amish culture and the Illinois Amish community. I have had a wonderful experience with Amish friends in Pennsylvania. They are very hospitable, sincere, friendly and sociable. I a;so visited the MCC where I have a number of good friends. Do you organize trips to Canada?
