I regret not answering sooner as I was away. One of the research fields I work on pertains to multiple aspects of religious travel/religious heritage tourism.
I created GTRTRG as an open ongoing discussion space for all groups and individuals (WRTA-SN present members and prospective members) who are interested in religious travel and pilgrimage could benefit from each other's experience(s) and connect accross the globe. The main purpose is to emphasize the equally important role of all, yes, all stakeholders (tourism companies, religious institutions, individual travellers, international organizations, NGOs, people interested in tourism in general and in faith-based travel in particular, Universities, Researchers, youth, seniors, etc. ) in creating awareness about sustainable and responsible tourism/faith-based travel, thus hoping to insure the healthy longevity of the tourism business and the world heritage.
Welcome to WRTA social network. Reading your reason for joining, I may be of assistance to you. I am not a travel agent, but a consultant for international tour operators that offer faith based tours in Greece, Turkey, Israel, Germany and Italy.
If you are interested, I will put you in contact with them and you work direct-no middle man. My role is to help you get connected to these companies and offer any service you need to get your groups traveling.
