Calvin 09 in Geneva

Geneva is a town of culture and tradition and celebrates this year the 500th anniversary of the birth of Jean Calvin. For more than twenty years of his life Jean Calvin worked as a reformer of the city republic. The humanist and churchman who not only contributed to the influence of the city but was the initiator of the 1st Academy in Geneva as well. Today many places in the city still bear witness to Calvin’s activity.
